Since Cargo is a family owned and operated company we understand the importance of yours. Two of the company’s founders, Mr. Brown and Mr. Pope were truck drivers. Always keeping the drivers’ perspective in mind, we offer personalized dispatches to help meet the demands of family life. Our Operations Management staff has close to 100 years of combined experience and over half of our Drivers have been with the company over 5 years. Twenty-four percent of our Drivers have driven over 1 million miles with our company.
While at the Claremont terminal, you have access to the bunk rooms, showers, fitness center, laundry facilities, company cars, lounges and convenience store style vending. Our Rocky Mount terminal has 24/7 access to secured parking, vending, lounge areas and showers. Our Anderson SC terminal has 24/7 access to secured parking, restrooms and wi-fi.

Driver Orientation
At Cargo Transporters, Inc., we value all our team members. After the recruiting process is completed, the post-offer process begins with the certification of the Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card, drug screens and road test. We then take experienced drivers through self paced classroom training covering safety and operational expectations, as well as required on-boarding paperwork.
We provide snacks, drinks, and lunches during class days. During orientation you will have the opportunity to talk with your Fleet Leader about company procedures and expectations as well. Lodging and travel accommodations are provided for those traveling in for orientation (speak with your recruiter for specifics and other incentives).

Solo Driver Pay Packages
.67¢/Mile ALL IN PAY
- All In rate includes Productivity Pay, Paid Holidays, and Paid Time Off (PTO)
That means you can get Home Weekly and you can count on a higher pay-per-mile with the extras rolled in. No need to account for fluctuations in productivity or time off because it’s included in your daily mileage rate.
.60¢/Mile Standard PAY
Cargo’s standard pay option includes the list below as an addition to the base rate per mile, so you can use your pay benefits the way it suits you.
- Productivity Bonus – additional 3 CPM available for ALL weekly miles
- 7 Paid Holidays
- 3 Weeks of Paid Time Off
That means you can get Home Weekly and you can count on the additional pay of holidays, vacation, and productivity bonuses throughout the year.
Team Driver Pay Packages
.4000¢/Mile ALL IN PAY
- All In rate includes Productivity Pay, Paid Holidays, and Paid Time Off (PTO)

Hiring Locations
We hire in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. We have several yards, including our home terminal in Claremont, NC, terminal in Rocky Mount, NC, terminal in Charlotte, NC and terminal in Anderson , SC. All tractors are domiciled from one of these four locations.
